Preview: Swimwear Anywhere Resort

We got a sneak peek at Swimwear Anywhere’s vast Resort 2012 swimwear collections last week. In addition to their own brands, Swimwear Anywhere also holds licenses for  labels like Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, DKNY, Juicy Couture and Carmen Marc Valvo.

As the manufacturer for some of the most directional designers in fashion, Swimwear Anywhere established a few trends this season that should have a huge impact on the category in the next year.

At Michael Kors, key messages include neon, neon and more neon. Kors’ minimalist-glam aesthetic gets a boost from electric zebra stripes and touches of 70s disco decadence.

Resort 2012 marks footwear label Vince Camuto’s swimwear debut. Animals and neon continue from Michael Kors in the form of classic leopard and shocks of chartreuse.

Fluorescent colors also make a bold statement at Marc by Marc Jacobs, adding youthful vigor to tropical prints and itsy bitsy teeny weenie polka dot bikinis.

Marc by Marc Jacobs’ kids collection features pint-sized versions of adult styles, detailed with playful graphics.

The Juicy Couture collection has some of the most covetable suits of the season, chief among them a duo of (yet again) neon beauties splashed with cut-and-paste flowers and made out of an innovative piqué fabric.

DKNY takes the vivid hues in a more sophisticated direction with clean color blocking and belted maillots.

Tommy Hilfiger’s swimwear debut is one of the collections we’re most excited about. Preppy stripes and plaids get a jolt from a forward VPL-esque color palette, stylized camouflage prints and sporty yet chic silhouettes.
