Celebrate the expansive career of one of the world’s greatest living photographers, William Klein, by checking out his two exhibits now on display at NYC’s Howard Greenberg Gallery.
Not only is this New York bred, Paris-based artist responsible for some of the first street style fashion photography, beginning in the ’50s, he is also an accomplished painter, filmmaker, and graphic designer. “William Klein: Paintings, Etc.,” is a retrospective of this multi-talented man’s work, beginning with his earliest paintings, while “William Klein: Fashion + Street” explores the artist’s candid, captivating shots of well-dressed ladies from way back when. If pictures are nice, but you’d rather they move and speak, there’s yet another Klein exhibit going on, at the Museum of Arts & Design, where a series of his films will be shown until April 25th. Now 85 years old, Klein is a legend in his own time, and one whose work will surely inspire you. – Ashley Churchill
