No longer the province of rich old women, fur has been trending younger and cooler for several winters now. The result this winter is more fur – and more variations on fur – than I’ve ever seen among the previously fur-deficient urban hipsterati. I’ve seen quite a few short mink jackets while out and about, but the hottest item among the politically-active-yet-politically-incorrect set this winter just might be the fur vest. Often a vintage find that is rendered in rabbit or coyote, my favorite so far this season was a fox fur vest that I spotted outside the Chanel show in Paris – you can check that here. I also adore the shaggy, sheared, and cruelty-free wool and alpaca fleece pieces that I’ve been seeing. The key with these I think is to get the most obnoxiously huge and fluffy one you can find. These are real rock star pieces that do not benefit from the exercise of moderation.

got to disagree this time, Some time ago you posted some pics of people who were against fur & I have to say i stick to them, fashion should also have some kind of social-environmental awareness through the practice of moderation . yeah.
