Hi there – so in my last post – concerning Spring looks on the street in New York – someone left a comment essentially saying that “black is not a very Spring-ish color”. Well, first of all, they are right. It’s not very Spring-ish, is it? On the other hand though, black is a year-round color these days – especially in urban fashion capitals like New York and Paris and Stockholm. Fashionable New Yorkers will change their choice of fabric and their hemlines and lose some layers as warm weather approaches…but tossing out the dark colors from their wardrobes? Not so much. So in an attempt to brighten the darkness, here’s Ashley wearing a neon-bright floral babydoll. I ran into her while she was out shopping downtown. I actually love color…but my favorite bits of her outfit are her sheer black patterned tights and especially her vintage black ceramic rose bracelet. Black flowers…it must be Spring in New York. xx eddie

Those tights…are absolutely killer. She looks like a much-cooler,
live version of those little plastic ballerinas that pop up when you
open an old jewelry box and twirl in one place to the music. Like she
escaped or something and dressed herself for a change! Totally love
