Hey there — it’s Kristin, still discovering the fountain of youth for Stylesight. Here’s a powerful dose of day-glo—hope it brightens your day. At the Warped Tour in Hempstead, New York last weekend I loved the sugar-coated punks sporting highlighter colors, acid-toned animal prints, sporty tutus and tees emblazoned with positive messages. Who says punks have a bad attitude? East Coast teens are tapping into the ‘80s in a big way—Manic Panic hair, plastic chains, jelly bracelets, mismatched earrings and bows.
Props to the punks making it POP!

haha scenesters…
I wanna put these little colour bombs in my design room for inspiration!
I’m not sure I’d describe them as “punk” but hey, I guess anything goes these days.
Oh, and I admire their positive vibes.
The first pic looks hilarious!!!
wow! reminds me of highschool.
OMG!! The colors!!
I especially like the orange skirt.
LOVE HOW THEIR EXPRESSING EXACTLY WHAT THE TEEN AGE IS SUPPOSE TO HAVE A-LOT OF, FUN!!!
what a refreshing outtake on stylesightings!!! hope we get to see more diverse trend spotting from Kristin, this report as well as Viva Berlin! is a breath of fresh air and diversity from what we had been seeing in this blog!!! keep it up! can’t wait to see more hot stuff!
I don’t know what it’s been like in the states, but fluro has been really overdone in Australia. For about the last 3 years. Every one of those kids annoys me. Sorry.
Oh I can appreciate the confidence it takes to wear neon, but it is so far from anything
I would ever do!

I really like the girl with the “Stay Positive” tee…the least bright of the bunch but the most uncontrived.
Haha, lovelovelove the girl’s cowboy boots, the one on the bottom. Just gorge.
