A funny thing happened while I was busy visiting L.A. and looking for a new apt. in New York the last few weeks – summer! Can you believe it?! I’m so beyond happy, I can’t even tell you. I’m going to be posting lots of summertime photos the next few months so get ready for a shot of rooftop parties, pool parties, outdoor concerts, Coney Island, ice cream, cool kids, music, noise, the beach, and lots of summer street fashion. Cute looks…but what’s with all the coats and scarves? The only thing summery here is the sky behind everyone.
Yes – the day that I shot this – last Thursday – was sort of the tail end of a couple of weeks of crazy weather in NYC. It was often chilly and rainy and then the bright sun would come out and then it would get really windy and lightning would strike during sunny weather and then super dark clouds would come and it would rain and repeat the whole pattern. I was fighting this all week last week and the week before and trying to shoot when I could.
Now though thankfully it has been hot and totally gorgeous over the weekend – so it looks like summer weather is with us! yay!
This just makes me want to grab my girlfriends and drag them to Williamsburg, since I live here in Brooklyn.
