Nike and Rasmus

Nike and Rasmus are a young Swedish model couple that I kept running into during Stockholm Fashion Week. I loved the way both of them looked – whether backstage wearing the clothes from one of this season’s collections, or on the street wearing their own stuff. I thought they both had a rather iconic look and vibe – a combination of world-weary and fresh-faced depending on the day or time or situation. Nike (the girl) has that smoky, smouldering, heavy-lidded sexiness that makes me think more of France than Sweden. I think a top modeling agency in either New York or Paris should snap this young Carine Roitfeld look-a-like up fast. They seem to be quite well known within Swedish fashion circles and both appeared in some of the week’s best shows – from Cheap Monday to Wood Wood. (Cheap Monday sent them down the runway hand-in-hand.) Despite their status as local rock stars, they both are sweeties and always crossed the room to speak to me – welcoming faces in a hectic week.
