WILD THING
Milan: Simonetta Ravizza took her audience on a fashionable safari for spring. African-inspired tie-dyed prints, exotic pelts, and animal motifs were the key elements of her collection. Slick leathers and powdery suedes were both used generously, adding rich texture to the mix. Ravizza’s leather pants, with a wide leg and relaxed fit, were a highlight, and the black and white jailbird stripes were on-trend and appealing. Known for her furs, it was no surprise that the designer closed her show with a lustrous black fur shift, an elegant representation of her exotic theme. –Joanna Manganaro
