PARIS… Designer Antonio Marras brought a very different look to the runway, standing out from many of the darker, sleeker styles seen in Paris this week. His inspiration was rooted in Russia, a theme which translated into folkloric prints which have been absent from fashion for a few years. Notable pieces for juniors included short shift dresses with tall, casual boots, patterned coats and cute cropped military parkas with fur trimmed sleeves. Overall, Kenzo was a bit out of step with the rest of the industry, but still provided some appropriate items for this market.
