REPEAT PERFORMANCE
New York: Joseph Abboud’s public relations team seems to be working overtime this season, orchestrating what appeared to be a repeat showing of the collection that designer Bernardo Rojo debuted earlier this summer at London’s first Men’s Fashion Week. Although there weren’t any major revelations clothes-wise, the event’s venue – the New York Public Library – and a celeb-studded front row generated plenty of hype. Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte and Twilight‘s Kellan Lutz were among the stars who appeared for the New York unveiling of Rojo’s S/S 13 collection. The array leaned heavily on classic prep looks a la director Baz Luhrman’s much-hyped upcoming Great Gatsby film, and also introduced hep 50s elements like high-waisted pleated trousers, candy striped Western shirts, and trucker jackets in Rebel Without a Cause red.
