CHEERY BLOSSOM New York: Delicate blossom motifs informed much of Jill Stuart’s fabric story for CR 13, creating a subtle texture mix that complemented clean, pared-down shapes. Offering both a soft-dressing assortment and a more tailored set of looks, the collection made an assured statement about feminine simplicity, with a slight nod towards 70s silhouettes. The palette’s ivory base served as a warm canvas for crimson, lavender, and kelly green tones, realized in a charming jacquard and a romantic wallpaper floral. Stuart showed a confident eye for editing with this presentation that most certainly worked to the collection’s benefit. —Kibwe Chase-Marshall
