A FRACTURED PATCHWORK
London: Jean-Pierre Braganza was more accessible this Spring than ever before, choosing slim shift dresses as the core of his collection, their easy fits speaking to increased wearability. But the edginess the young designer is known for still arrived as sliced colorblocking, a stark palette and bold platform shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood. Among Braganza’s relaxed dresses, those featuring an asymmetric construction were most intriguing, as their folds revealed panels of graphic patterns and marbled swirls inspired by Ukrainian artist Zinaida Lihacheva, while slouchy trousers took on a modern utility due to strategic contrast trim.—Nina Stotler
