BOHEMIANS GO WEST
Milan: Western wear and bohemians from the 1970s were the dual inspirations behind Paolo Gerani’s spring collection for Iceberg. Suede separates, extra-wide tooled leather belts, denim jackets, and a Native American-inspired geometric print fell on the western side, while sparkly sweaters, floor-sweeping hemlines, and wide-leg pantsuits were in the 1970s category. Gerani also included some Studio 54-era glitz and glamour with touches of lamé. The mix yielded a handful of desirable pieces, but it all felt a bit confused. Gerani would do well to stick one idea for his next offering. –Joanna Manganaro
