Milan: While falling in line with the trend on Milan runways this season for relaxed, monochrome looks, Corneliani’s S/S 13 collection took a more textured direction with openweave knits and raw materials. Even the label’s slick leather motorcycle jackets incorporated tonal tweed panels, and double-breasted summer suiting had a grown-up yet authentic feeling rendered in nubby linen. The juxtaposition of business and pleasure that is becoming a theme this week was also key for Corneliani, with S/S 13’s ubiquitous gladiator sandals paired with upscale boardroom attire and casual fringed scarves peeking out beneath blazers and vests. — Nina Stotler
