London: Inacio Ribeiro and Suzanne Clements designed their Pre-Fall collection with a kooky, playful customer in mind, one who favors a retro Palm Beach aesthetic. In keeping with such a woman, prints and embellishment were key, from abstract inkblots in a riot of yellow, cherry and teal, to dimensional trompe l’oeil sequin necklaces embroidered onto a lace shift. Intarsia knit cardigans featuring spliced geometric patterns were layered with bright skirts and slim cut trousers complimented dressy three quarter sleeve overcoats. Off-kilter accessories only added to the madcap mood, in particular a close-fitting furry leopard print cap, while spindly stiletto heels were the lone vampish item included in this creatively innocent collection.—Nina Stotler
