Luxury London-based lingerie brand Agent Provocateur debuted their couture line, Soirée, yesterday amidst the plush surroundings of the Soho Grand. The collection featured over-the-top dress-up pieces that ran the gamut: Rococo-inspired romantic sophisticate; leather, spiked and studded biker chick; strapped-in bondage vixen; and Las Vegas showgirl complete with diamond-encrusted pasties. Employing painstaking couture techniques and extravagant materials such as French leavers lace and Swarovski crystals, the showstopping ensembles rejected recent trends toward functionality, instead indulging in a sense of fantasy and luxury meant to inspire.
