Richard Woods – D.I.Y.

Stylesight’s Graphics Team takes a look at Richard Woods latest exhibition at The Alan Cristea Gallery in London called “D.I.Y.”

Richard employs traditional block-printing methods onto wooden panels that are then joint as parquetry. From floor to ceiling, Woods’ disrupts the geometry of space and the objects within it creating an artificial world. By painting vivid colors against the grain and deconstructing everyday objects Woods challenges our aesthetic values. The show runs until June 1st.

  1. Well, first of all Richard has done a great job. This is really good printing. All images posted here are quite good, though the first three looked better in the first look. But nevertheless others are also looking very decent.

  2. I think Richard Wood follows his name, as all of his work is on woods. It’s quite amazing, using colors on wood is very difficult, because if not gently used they give a terrible look. Richard has done awesome use of colors.

  3. Thank you for sharing and expression
