Willhelm continues his collaboration with Camper with an expanded Women’s range, which includes new styles and fresh materials.
The full range of Camper’s F/W 12 collection was presented at the Campbell Apartment at Grand Central Station, the perfect cozy setting for a theme entitled “Travelling Winter.”
What I like about the Willhelm x Camper collab is how it is a far departure from Camper’s typical aesthetic but uses their signature comfortable constructions.
For the Men’s range, they continue with the funky waffle sole, speed lacing details and Velcro® straps. Unconventional mixed prints and high-contrast colors make for an irreverent and fun sneaker.
The curvaceous single sole pump returns in a fun splatter-printed leather, and we are introduced to it’s sister, and cute and functional flat in the same print. The stand out items are the new triangular metallic heel juxtaposed with a raw stack platform. My favorite, however, has to be the version of the men’s sneaker with, wait for it – a hidden wedge! Ladies and gentleman, we have a winner! All styles will be available in-store as of August, so mark your calendars. -Jenn Tello
