The time-honored team over at Pendleton offers up images from their F/W 12 Portland Collection, designed by Nathaniel Crissman, Rachel Turk and John Blasioli, with fabrics woven exclusively in their Northwest Mills and made in the U.S.A. Lots of crisp, textured and patterned looks for the rustic-favored gents, with some pillows and blankets for good measure. A good deal of the assortment featured the classic—but still always admired—Native American overtones we have come to expect from the brand.
Inspired again by the Pendleton archives, the designers reached back to the late 1800s and early 1900s to highlight the early square designs of that era. These designs predate looms that were able to create angular motifs, such as arrows, giving these new blankets and fabrics an excitingly innovative feel.
